Public Relations Internship(Academic Unpaid)

The Public Relations Intern will work closely with the Director of Public Relations, assisting in all aspects of media services and public relations for the Philadelphia Eagles. More specifically, the Public Relations Intern will write media advisories and news releases, conduct media research and help facilitate the execution of various media projects. This is an unpaid, academic internship for college credit. Ideally the intern will start mid July and work until the end of the football season. Candidates must be within a commutable distance to Philadelphia during this timeframe.

• Aid in production and distribution of weekly media book
• Aid in production and updating of Eagles media guide
• Aid in distribution of credentials for home games and training camp
• Facilitate various requests by the media for information, research, etc.
• Aid in coordinating player interviews
• General office work
• Other duties as assigned
• Assists with tracking and measurement of Eagles placements in media
• Assists with media management on site at games and special events
• Assists with game day information distribution to media
• Keeps comprehensive records of all events and activities that concern the Eagles
• Executes research as assigned
• Gathers and records changing and new media contacts
• Monitors media response


• Must be a current college student that is able to receive college credit for hours worked.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary in addition to during the week.
• Must be within a commutable distance to Philadelphia during the Summer and school year.
• Knowledge of media outlets and staff structures
• Must be detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop a plus
• General understanding of football statistics and strategy preferred
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Proofreading and transcribing experience preferred
