Bancroft is a leading provider of programs and supports for children and adults with autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and those in need of neurological rehabilitation. Our services include special education, vocational training and supported employment, structured day programs, campus and community living programs, short-term behavioral stabilization services for children, in-home and outpatient services.
Provides assistance and support to Teacher in the planning and implementation of classroom instruction to specifically meet the educational needs of the assigned student. Provides encouragement and support to the student to contribute to the best possible educational experience. We have an Early Education, Elementary, High School, and Transition program.
About the Early Education Program
Our Early Education Program for children ages 3 to 9, located in Cherry Hill, helps children develop new skills in a classroom setting while focusing on improving disruptive behaviors. By creating a solid foundation, our program prepares children to return to their school district or transition into our special education programs at The Bancroft School.
About Bancroft's Elementary Program
Over the years, Bancroft has continued as a leader in our field, making our extensive experience just one of the many benefits of a Bancroft education. This program provides renowned full-day, special education for students ages 5 – 14 with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities.
About the High School Program
Over the years, Bancroft has continued as a leader in our field, making our extensive experience just one of the many benefits of a Bancroft education. This program helps smooth this process for students with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities, ages 14 – 18.
About the Transition Education Program
The Bancroft Post-Secondary Preparation & Transition Program has successfully supported hundreds of students with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities in their transition from school to jobs and adult programs. The program provides vocational training and job-placement for students ages 18, and is based at Bancroft’s main campus in Haddonfield, N.J. For students with a higher level of independence, Bancroft offers an advanced version of the program at Camden County College in Blackwood, N.J
At least 60 College Credits required. Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree with experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
