At AB&C we strive to deliver a meaningful internship experience, one that the student can build on as they advance in their chosen career. The intern will be considered an integral part of AB&C’s public relations and social media department.
The intern’s main duties will include:
Client, prospective client and competitor research
Social media copywriting and posting
Identifying trends and relevant news stories
Blogs and content creation
Media list development and pitching
Press release and media alert drafting
The intern will also assist with client calls, meeting notes, event management, brainstorms, sponsorship coordination and day-to-day PR and social media needs
PR team will provide a schedule for first 1-2 weeks of internship; this will include scheduled meetings with members of other departments and/or project kick-off meetings. Set evaluations/regular check-ins for exposure to multiple people in the department. Work to ensure exposure to other departments and department functions; such as time with marketing to review inbound marking, Account Supervisor for Account Service exposure, and perhaps day-in-the-life shadowing with an Account Executive for added insight.
This internship is for Summer semester and requires at least two full days per week in either AB&C’s Philadelphia office at 15th & Walnut, or Wilmington, DE office at 819 N. Washington Street.
