The Graphic Design Intern is responsible for providing daily support in the area of t-shirt design for Shirt and Ink. The Graphic Design intern will report to the Production Manager and will assist with mockup for web stores, design layout for customer orders, and templates for the internal website. The Graphic Design Intern will also communicate directly with customers to collaborate and finalize design.


Job Requirements:

• Assist with the creation of image design for customer shirt orders
• Assist with the creation of mock ups for customer webstores and editable
templates for Shirt and Ink’s internal website
• Communicate and collaborate with customers through phone, e-mail, or in
person to meet customer needs
• Meet with Production Manager on a bi-weekly to obtain feedback on role
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager

Knowledge and Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop software
• Illustration and typography skills are a plus
• Knowledge of MAC and other PC related platforms
• Must be motivated to drive the creative process
• Ability to work in a fast pace deadline-oriented environment, and to be able to
respond effectively to change requests
• Well organized, dependable, and detailed oriented
• Self-initiating. Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Additional Internship Details:

This position will include both a weekly stipend and can be taken for the intention of college credit. The qualified candidate is expected to complete the internship for the length of the term as required by the university. Interns could be considered for full or part-time employment at the end of the internship.
