Welcome to CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS a service of Campus Philly, a Pennsylvania non-profit corporation (“CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS,” “we,” “us” or “our”). CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS is committed to respecting the privacy of our users. We strive to provide a safe, secure user experience. This Privacy Policy has been created to disclose CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS’ use, collection and protection of the personal data that you give to CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS when you access or use CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS.

CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS provides a service to post, search and apply to employment and internship opportunities online and through various electronic mediums (the “Service”). By downloading, accessing or using the CAMPUS PHILLY Service, you signify that you have read this Privacy Policy and that you agree to be bound by it. Our Privacy Policy applies to all visitors, users, and any others who access the Service (“user” “you,” or “your”). Each time you visit us, the most recent published version of our Privacy Policy applies. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not use our Service. Your continued use of our Service following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.

When you post data, text, files, information, usernames, resumes, cover letters, posts, profiles, links and other content or materials (collectively, “User Content”) using our Service that means that other users may have access to your User Content consistent with the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.

A. Information We Collect

  • As you use our Service, CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS may collect information that you provide to us such as your username, password, e-mail address, phone number, contact information and any other information from which your identity is discernable.
  • CAMPUS PHILLY also may collect demographic information that you provide to us that is not unique to you such as your ZIP code, academic major, preferences, industry, and job category.
  • Examples of areas on CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS where we collect personal or combined personal and demographic data are pages where you can open and create a Campus Philly Careers account profile, post a resume, the Contact Us form or register for a Campus Philly Careers event.
  • Whenever you contact us, we may collect any information you voluntarily share with us to help you resolve your problem. We may also collect technical information regarding your browser or mobile device, so that we may help you troubleshoot your problem.
  • We collect non-personal identification information about your interactions with our Service. This is sometimes called “aggregate data.” Aggregate data may include your browser name, the type of computer used as well as technical information about how you connect to our Service. This information may include the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized, mobile device information (phone model and version), IP address, and other related information.
  • When you use a mobile device to use our Service we may access, collect, monitor or store your device identifier. These device identifiers include your phone version and model number. Device identifiers help us verify a user’s identify.

B. Updating Your Information

You may review, correct, update or change your CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS account profile information at any time. Simply log into your CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS account, go to Account Profile, review your account information and, if you wish, edit it with the options provided.

C. When Do We Collect Information?

We collect information from you when you register for the Service, when you upload content through our Service, when you post a resume, submit a job posting, register for a CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS account and create a profile, and when we contact you or you contact us.

D. Cookies and Similar Technologies

CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS uses “cookies” to help personalize and maximize your online experience and time online. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard drive by a Web page server. Cookies are not used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer Cookies are uniquely assigned to your computer, and can only be read by a Web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the Web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you personalize CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS pages, or register for services, a cookie helps us to recall your specific information (such as username, password and preferences). CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS utilizes third party analytics tools. CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS may allow users to sign in using third party services, including social media sites that may collect analytics information as well.

How Do We Protect User Information?

No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant absolute security. We require that you use a password to protect your information when using the Service and it is up to you to do your part to keep that login information secure. When you register, your information is protected through the use of encryption, which makes it difficult for your information to be intercepted or stolen while being transmitted. CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS uses a service company to process its information transactions. CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS reserves the right to sell or trade your personal information and aggregate data with third parties in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy.

  • If CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS learns of a security systems breach, we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps.
  • CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS is created to permit sharing of User Content with other users within the Service. While you may share your User Content with other users within the Service, you may not share links to User Content in any manner that would make the User Content accessible outside of the Service.
  • We endeavor to provide notice to you of any security systems breach and efforts to restore our Service as required in accordance with applicable law. F. How Your Profiles and Resumes May Be Used and Stored

Since CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS is a career site, we give you the option of creating a profile and uploading your resume and other User Content to the Service. You are solely responsible for any User Content that you choose to upload or post to the Service, including any profile, resumes, or cover letters. If you choose to submit profiles, resumes, cover letters or other User Content, then all parties with access to our Services, including the resume database (or copies thereof), will have access to your resume and personal information. We are not responsible for the use made of resumes by third parties who access such resumes while they are in our searchable database. You may remove your resume from our searchable database, or delete your profile from CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS at any time. However, employers, recruiters and others who have had access to that database or to obtain a copy of that database, as well as parties who have otherwise gained access to the database, may have retained a copy of your resume or profile in their own files or databases. We are not responsible for the retention, use or privacy of resumes or profiles or any other User Content in these instances.

G. How We Use Your Information

CAMPUS PHILLY CAREERS may collect and use your personal information and the aggregate data that you generate for the following purposes:

  • To Improve Customer Service
Information you provide helps us respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.
  • To Personalize Your Experience
We may use your information in a way that does not identify you as an individual to understand how our Users as a group use the Service and resources provided on the Service.
  • To Verify Your Identity we use your information to prevent fraud, or other unauthorized or illegal activity on your account.
  • To Improve Our Site and App 
We may use feedback you provide to improve our Service.
  • To Send You E-mail
We may use your e-mail address to send you communication relating to your account including account verification, changes to our Service, technical and security notices. We may also provide communications regarding updates in our Privacy Policy. We may also use your e-mail address to respond to your inquiries, questions, or other requests. You are given the choice to opt-out of certain optional communications from us and our affiliates and marketing partners. To “opt-out” you may send an opt-out request to us at careers@campusphilly.org with the word “unsubscribe” in the email subject line. You may not unsubscribe from service-related emails such as account verification, changes and updates to our Service, or technical and security notices.
  • To Provide Products or Services or Market Products or Services We may collect and use your information to provide you with products or services and to market products and services which we think may be of interest to you.
  • To Tailor Advertising to Your Interests we may use your information to show you ads that are more relevant to your interests.
  • To Communicate With Third Parties and Enable Third Parties to Communicate With You in a Manner Consistent with This Privacy Policy

Your information may also be transferred to third parties who act for or on our behalf, for further processing in accordance with the purpose for which the information was originally collected or may otherwise be lawfully processed, such as services delivery, evaluating the usefulness of the Service, marketing, data management or technical support. These third parties have contracted with us to only use your information for the agreed upon purpose, and not to sell your information to third parties, and not to disclose it to third parties except as may be required by law, as permitted by us or as stated in this Privacy Policy.

H. Where Information is Processed

The Internet is a global environment. Using the Internet to collect and process personal data necessarily involves the transmission of data on an international basis. This means that your information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those where you are located. Campus Philly is based in the United States. When you use our Service you consent to the processing and transfer of information in and to the United States and other countries.

  • If you are a user based in the U.S. and you use the Service while you are abroad, your information may be available to law enforcement or to the government of that country.
  • By registering for and using the Service you consent to the transfer of information to the U.S., the use and disclosure of this information is described here, in this Privacy Policy.

I. Third Party Disclosure

  • We may share information about you with service providers who perform services on our behalf.
  • We may disclose your personal information and aggregate data to a third party as part of a reorganization or a sale of the assets of CAMPUS PHILLY.
  • Any third party to which we transfer or sell CAMPUS PHILLY assets will have the right to continue to use the information that you provide to us (both personal and aggregate data) subject to this Privacy Policy.

  • Our Service may contain user links to websites other than our own. We have no control over these third party links, and do not assume responsibility or liability for any content, opinions, materials, or services available on them.
  • We retain the right to disable user links from the Service, but make no warranties that we will do so.
  • If you leave the Service and access a third party site or content linked from our Service, our Privacy Policy no longer governs your transaction.
  • It is your responsibility to review the privacy policy of any third party website that may be linked from our Service, and we encourage you to do so.

K. Responding to Legal Requests and Preventing Harm

We may share your information in response to a request from law enforcement officials both within and without the United States if we have a good faith belief that the law requires us to do so. L. Children

Children under the age of 13 should not attempt to use or access our Service. Further, we never collect or maintain information from our Service from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our Services are structured to attract anyone under 13. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
